If Josh Herrin or Cameron Beaubier don't progress to the MotoGP level we may end up with no Americans in the series in a few years. Nicky almost left the series for WSBK this year and Colin only has a few more years.

CE shouldn't even be in GP as a backmarker, he can TRY to be a top WSBK rider.

Spies has been the rider who rose fast and went downhill fast. He made some bad moves and had some horrible luck!

    Both Texans are great riders!!

as long as i dont have to pay for tires and track time,, i wouldn't mind throwing some fast laps... in the GP circuit,, .. might not be as fast at the slowest guy in advance at STT.. i do know that i can make that Ducati look super pretty...

Herrin's going to Moto2 already announced. I hate to see Spies leave, but it seems to me his head's not in it anymore. But I wouldn't say he might not be back in WSBK or something, depending on the permanence of his injury. Never say never.

Terrible news, I was really pulling for him. I think sometimes it's best to know when to say when...

If CE is not going to be on a better machine (cust. Honda, Yamaha etc.) he does not need to be in GP and should go somewhere that the bikes will be more competitive (WSBK) where he will have a shot at winning the title. Stats are there, the CRT bike he is riding is not doing him any justice. Is he not a backmarker??

    Anyway... Back to Spies..

love this: Mat Mladin has spoken..

I really like Spies and he has his reasons for quitting, hope to see him back in GP someday. I am disappointed though.

It's unfortunate.. But with a shoulder injury you never know what you will get. There are some pretty fancy names of those that hung it up over a shoulder injury. I wish he'd sit out an entire season and see where he's at after that but I'm not him. Many will judge or call him a pussy blah blah but in the end the only right decision is the one he made for himself.

Mladin's still got a chapped ass that widdle elbowz came and knocked him of his pedestal in AMA
