That's why I bought my Panigale S. Already had all the things I was going to buy for track bike. Just need to add race bodywork this winter. Regardless. I hate the rain also.

You did have the grom :fencing: it sounded like a sweet idea :pop:

By the way I am picking on you. I hated to see that you left just prior to things improving. You might even have been able to get a ride in a M3 convertible or minivan during track drying :first:

Eh, it is what it is. I know what you mean and that is a common saying and it is true. But the way I see it, the track is where the cool bikes belong. There are guys on the Ape forum that ride their RSV4 around town and take some old clapped out bike to the track. That is backwards to me.

When you think about it though, most 600's today are just as capable as the bigger, more expensive bikes out there. Yes, ppl like FastGuy, Chaotic, Healea-Coil can afford a nice ass bike like the Ape or a Duc but they would go just as good on a well setup 600 I would assume... Well maybe not Fastguy but... ;) Joking man!

I don't see myself ever going to a 1000cc bike. Would I like to own an Ape?? HELL YEAH but I wouldn't be able to afford it :)

I do like to ride in the rain, but I avoid signing up for a trackday if there is a large chance it will be raining. I have ridden in the rain enough to know while fun, it is not as much fun.

Wow. You're pretty confident in yourself. If you only have $20k in that Priller, you didn't get the good one and considering the lap times the 600s do there, you better bring a lot of confidence.

My bike is at Ducati Milwaukee and I will be driving home Thursday after flying in from Minneapolis. Maybe I will bring my shit pile and see if I can keep up with the "A Rider"... I've never been so, I would probably get waxed.

I can't afford my bike. I am blessed is all. I just happen to have the means to do it. Honestly, I have about as much in this bike as I have had in any of my 1000s... I just have some really great friends and guys like TJ who are too stubborn to accept payment on things...

As for being fast on a 600. That was a LOOOOOONG time ago. Not sure I could do well enough on a 600 and considering the times these kids in DSB are doing vs. the SB guys, I don't think I could do justice on one. I'd give her hell tryin!

But, these big bikes aren't easy. They really tax the rider when pushed hard and they do things a lot more energy draining than what a 600 puts out. That being said, I LOVE the big bikes. There's something cool knowing when someone says "If I had that power, I could go so much faster" and you tell them to take it for a spin and they cannot comprehend how you can ride it, it makes you feel pretty good.

I'm just a regular guy that has some cool friends and an eye for a decent looking machine. That's really it. I just ride the thing and would probably be better if I was more active and raced more than I do now... I'm too old!

You guys are assholes. So what if fast guy doesn't post up s*** you like. You don't have to like him but leave me the f*** alone. Why harass him like this? Do you just want to run off everybody that post that s*** you don't like? And Justin, I've seen you ride and you aint passing no one! I'll put money on it that you don't pass fast guy. Whatcha know about that?
