I don't think anyone would disagree with the fact that big bikes are harder to ride fast. Well maybe some outside our circle :wheel: They are fun as hell to ride and feel that power for sure.

As I said in my original post, 600's now are just as capable on the track and most riders who ride 1000cc fast can get on a 600cc and go quick too. I think the perception of the "parking" it comes from the N and I groups mostly I would say, in A guys on 1000s have them figured out for the most part. One thing to also keep in mind is the electronics that come with bikes like the Ape and Duc and other 1000cc machines, does it make them more user friendly? yes, easier to ride? maybe, maybe not. Again, a skilled rider will go fast on just about anything. By no means am I saying people get on big bikes to go faster, even though it is a byproduct (having more power) you still have to control it and learn to manage that extra power.

And yes, this thread went to shit quick; all I will say is that OP did not come on here and post his feelings about something expecting to be belittled, it always seems to be one person that is on the attack everytime.. The 40ft thing is weak, last week.... Let us all keep in mind we are a small community with like interests and we all hope and pray for eachothers safety :amen:

I normally turn the electronics off on the Ape.

I race the RSV4 and the R6 back to back all weekend. I get along with them both and enjoy them both. But for different reasons. :)

Bit of a crazy thread (just found it after a week of vacation and away from the internets!)

I was at the MCADX event, and rode both the Mille and the TZ250 in the rain. Actually Tuesday, Sharad on his RS125 and me on the TZ were out there for a solid 30 minute session having a blast (on rains of course). The great camera guys got one of my new favorite photos of me coming over the hump, in full tuck, with front wheel a foot off the ground, rain splash everywhere coming off the back mixed with 2T smoke! Will try to remember to post it. David grey got some amazing wheelie photos btw...

I would rather try to go fast in the dry, but my most memorable events have been in the rain (and even in the snow a few years ago).

The main thing I hate about rain is having to change wheels, which isn't too bad anyway.

I met fastguy and he was pretty nice. I wanted to see that bike out on track though! I love those things.

  9. Late to the thread here too. Fastguy68 don't let them bother you. Jealousy is a very childish thing.

I didn't look that good in dry :pound: I wish the weather had not been so bad as I was almost starting to make progress and drop time when we were done. Though I had video fail for the best laps I think so I can only look at the slower ones to see where I was losing time (pretty sure I know though)
