seems like since the new software and website went live, there has been an issue viewing and uploading images to the website, through the website, for all to see. any help appreciated. Ski
I think if you resize them smaller they work. Or host them and Copt the url link and use the photo button. Say. If Lynne put them on facebook and right clicked to get properties and copy and pasted that in
The issue is even browser-related. With Safari, I simply see question marks...sometimes I am able to click on them and they will open the image. On Firefox, I actually see links when I am not logged in. Clicking them certainly doesn't get me the picture but the logon page. However, if I login, the links actually disappear and I just have an empty box saying "Attached Images".
Yeah, something is wrong. i updated the server software. i won't have time to fix it until all the other projects are done. just like R/T Performance said, you can always embed them when they are hosted elsewhere.. so, embeded image
no need for tutorial. it will be fixed. just not today or tomorrow. the other functionality has always worked. you got a link to a photo. click on the little image and paste the link to your pic.
Still not fixed. I'm still having picture issues even if I resized them. I think a tutorial on embedding should be a good idea. Please advise.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and look in the lower left corner. See a little square with the posting rules and some status messages inside? One of them says BB code is On. Click on the "BB" and it will direct you to a page with all kinds of shortcuts to do fancy things in the page. For instance, I can use the IMG code to embed a hosted image by typing (without quotes): "" As an example, I have a Photobucket image that if I type the URL (http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x145/il8apex/Triumph Bodywork/IMAG0935_zps4wdezseo.jpg) between the image tags ( ) I get this: -Tom
Remote storage of images still works...it's uploading pictures to the forum directly that doesn't work...not everyone uses/wants to use an image/photo website such as photobucket/dropbox/whatever...
