I thought belly pan had to be solid, but not quarter panels. Am I wrong? when he said lowers, was thinking the lower quarter panel, not the belly pan.

Great weekend with great people. To all of the coaches, staff and service providers... THANK YOU for making it an awesome first weekend.

I sat out the last few sessions today after losing some confidence, but was glad to see my times consistent on Saturday and knowing I still had some ability in me afterward to improve afterward.

Had a great time. Thanks to all who helped me get my bike running. Forgetting both my bike keys made for a stress full Friday night/Saturday morning with track side modifications.

I had the same issue. I had to drill through the gas cap lock and then clean out all the shavings. Then I bought a PP3 rear hoping to use it as a rain tire, didn't work so well. During my fourth session my zipper to my leathers broke causing my entire suit to open up; consequently, my phone I was using as my lap timer for that one particular session fell out coming out of turn one and landed dead center of the track. Luckily it wasn't cracked too badly so it's still usable. Now as I'm unpacking I've come to find my helmet and boots are now missing out of a container I placed them in. All in all I'm not having the best of luck.

    Liquidsilver What's an apex?

^ Sorry about your tough luck.

I too was out there trying to use a PP3 as a rain tire. It felt like it had tons of 'stop and go' grip, but the lateral sliding was like riding on snow. It might have had grip if I'd thrown the bike over, but it was giving me zero confidence. Oh well, I'll burn 'em up in the dry somewhere.

Same feeling I had. I had no issues going fast up and down. But as soon as I leaned over the rear always slid. Even just half an inch in the rain makes me uncomfortable. I went through 5 like riding a db. Stuck my foot out just in case.

flylikechris Wait, how tall are you?

Yup.. I usually love riding in the rain, but on Sunday I couldn't. The bike was sliding everywhere. After some bigger slides coming out of three and exiting the first chicane, I decided to call it. I figured it was a numbers game at that point, eventually the sliding would have caught me out and led to a crash.

Saturday was great I did chicken out on the last session since I was on slicks and did not want to be 'that' guy.

A decent and fun day. Got everything stretched in and ready for the season. Only had one minor moment when I came in late and low on one and had the tire up in the air so had to run a bit wide once I got it set back down. the GSXR tends to wag more under braking than my RC did..... or at least that is my story

I too want to thank everyone from STT as y'all do a fantastic job of making it a good experience. I'm an "old" newbie and learned so much even if it did **** all day Sunday and wish had learned of this 30 years ago.

Everyone was great from the paddock to the class rooms!

Now to the bad part- I have to come up with the money for another bike so I can come back more often!!!

DirtNap Used but not used up

    I'm still exhausted... Great time!
Thanks to all the fun people I got to hang with this weekend.

I'm still trying to get back in riding shape & get used to my new to me bike(zx10). That bike is a monster but it's getting more comfortable every time I get some more seat time.

OK, when do we go again?
