Yeah, one is a DRZ and a WR450F. These things are a blast to thrash on! I'm getting the bikes ready tonight. Another question for intermediate bikes, do the kick stands have to be tied up or removed? I didn't see it on the list, but my buddy thinks it's required. I just wanted to check because that determines how many bike stands we bring.
Great stuff I really like the back n forth feedback on topics n questions. Really helpful for helping me set up my bike. Especially the Brembo info. Thanks
Hi all! Are sparkie knee sliders allowed to use on the track? Just making sure I am all ready for my first track day Thanks!
Tally will be my first track day this weekend and I believe I've covered most of the bases. Regarding the taping of the headlight / taillight, is there any special type required or can we use the blue masking tape that doesn't leave any residue. I'd hate to attempt to clean duct tape off. :frusty:
Please note we do not allow Fireball as a coolant, in any group: FIREBALL WHISKY HAS BEEN RECALLED IN FINLAND BECAUSE IT HAS TOO MUCH OF A TYPE OF ANTIFREEZE IN IT t
Wondered what the hell you were talking about then this evening it was a big conversation with some buddies at the bar.... Crazy stuff!
Hi guys, I'm wondering about the new "No helmet mounted GoPros" rule. Does this apply to all cameras, not just the GoPro? I've been toying around with the idea of getting a Drift for my street riding, and want to mount it to the helmet. If it worked out, it might be nice to use on the track (on the helmet). I think it gives really engaging footage. If not that's cool. Rules are rules. thanks-
I think I know the answer to this question but wanted to make sure. On my helmet currently, I have the scala rider G4 mounted to the lower side of it. Would that be allowed? I can take the actual detachable part off it off but the actual mount has been stuck on there for the past 3 years. It was ok at the other track day orgs I have done but don't want any unexpected tech insp issues. Thanks!- Chris
I would say no its not allowed..... Mount it and wire it to the bike... Also on the bike its not a distraction to riders behind you where it would be on top of or on the side of your helmet... ... The less distracions one sees in front of them the better...
Ok, I figured that. I'll keep that helmet for the long KLR rides and pick up a new shiny one for the track
Marc, I think he's just asking if the mounting clip, which is secured to the helmet, is allowed to remain on there....which I would have thought would be acceptable as it's not a distraction...I don't think he's asking if he can leave the actual unit on it....kinda like a GoPro mount puck would be ok, but the Camera itself not...but maybe I'm reading it incorrectly..
