Well, the weekend at NCM turned out to be a Gem! The forecast, depending on where you looked, was not so good....high percentages of rain both days...more on Sunday than Saturday, but rainy and soggy by all the forecast predictions. Well, once again, it just shows that the weather forecasters are wrong much more often than they are correct. Saturday there was NO rain at all and only one Red flag the entire day....and that was a mechanical issue. Saturday night we got some rain and some pretty strong winds, and there was bad weather all around us....but we don't ride at night! Sunday morning the rain was pretty much over by the time registration started and the ground was wet, but by track time, the track was almost completely dry and the skies were pretty cloudy. By noon, the sun was peaking out and it was a perfect afternoon. What a great weekend at the track and a very good one by all accounts. See ya all in July!
Good talking to you also, and good to see you at NCM. I'm going to try and attend all three STT weekends at NCM again this year, I really love that track too.
It was a delightful weekend indeed. thanks for taking up ALL of my pit box Vern.. I have a video of whoever was on a red and black bike who nearly high sided in session 2 Sunday (advanced).. Let me know if you want it.. Very good save
Well, that's what happens when you pull in by a Noobie at pulling a big trailer. I promise, it won't happen again......NEXT time, I'm going to park crossways in two spots! P.S.......Thanks for being understanding about it and it was nice meeting you guys.
It really did turn out to be a great weekend! I was in Intermediate, and everybody played by the rules when passing me. The weather held out nicely, and everything ran very smoothly and on time. My camera fell off my bike and the tether caught it, but I failed to take into consideration suspension travel. It hit my tire and the case broke, and I lost my camera somewhere on track....I did not find it, unfortunately. Otherwise, another fantastic weekend with STT!
