    Hey guys,
I have been riding on the track since couple of years and never crashed so I knew it was coming...I'm constantly improving and I knew that the day when good tires and good suspensions won't be enough to cover my mistakes anymore.
Only thing I have been hoping for is that I could learn something from my first crash. I have been thinking a lot about it...especially because I'm spending a lot of time next to my bike lately trying to rebuild it...but I honestly cannot find a clear explanation for this crash.

The crash happens at the end of the video but if you watch it all you might gain some more on my riding style:

The causes I can attribute to the front washout out are:
1 - just a bit too hot or too much lean angle for the speed (I doubt this one)
2 - front end loaded too much. I fully close the gas before entering the corner, now I think I should have applied a bit of maintenance throttle to help release a bit of front load
3 - just bad luck...maybe changing track conditions, some debris in the particular spot in that particular moment, anything random... (I doubt this one too)
4 - some bad input on the handlebar

    Also a good background info:
    - tires: bridgestone V02, pressure 33/24
    - temperature was pretty high, high 80s, not windy but cloudy, so I would say that the track conditions were close to perfect
    - my pace was high 1:23s, the day before I did my personal best 1:23.461

Any input is very welcome. I still have tons to learn and I really would like to have your opinions.

    Thanks,
    Guido

hard to tell... but running either way on the sweeper there is a slight crest in the middle as well as it being a hair off camber in the same location take this and you going to full closed throttle transferred weight forward and most likely loaded the front. while being at close to max lean and whammo... a view from behind would be pretty telling to see BP/ lean angle and the exact location of you letting off gas.

hard to tell from the onboard but, you didn't completely cut the throttle upon corner entry (from listening to the motor). from looking at your body position in your avatar, I would guess too much lean angle not enough body position, for the speed, and that corners rise, fall, and radius. 1.23's are pretty impressive ccw or cw. sorry you crashed. hopefully you can sort it, and come back stronger. thanks skidooboy. I picked up a lot of speed since last year, I wan't expecting that kind progresses.
My body position is my weakest point that's for sure. I love getting a lot of lean angle (makes me feel Valentino Rossi) but I know that correct body position helps reducing leaning angle which is always good. Now that I finally scratched my elbow I will start working on how to change my BP to help reduce the lean angle...promise :)

by the way this is a decent picture...I'm proud of myself since this looks like a decent BP...

    Guido,

After you passed me in one I tried to hang with you. I did the little studded in the brakes coming in to 10b, and you were more brave. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but your bike was just completely out of shape in 10b, bus stop, and then the sweeper. After 10b I knew you were not going to stay shiny side up.

Were you pushing too hard? Too stiff or too much unnecessary steering input?

    Thanks for the input.
Well in 10b I always let the clutch go a bit too quickly (and don't rev match) so my back flaps around.
In that lap I wanted to pass the guy on front in 10b so that I could get a better line in 10a and push all the way down to the bus stop. He was on a 750 so I pulled away a lot in the straight and I was really too hot in 10b...but I managed to make that corner...

At the bus stop I think I was doing well...did you see my bike drifting or doing something wrong?

In the sweeperI was definitely a bit off line. I was wider than usual.

All this being said, to your question, yes I was pushing really hard (for no reason) and too much steering input in the sweeper might have been the cause of the front washing out. I wanted to pass the last expert to get 4 clear laps to push my limit and try to learn how to be faster.
    I was being really impatient.

Your inputs (since you saw my last 3-4 corners)are really valuable. Let me know if you can think of anything else.
    Thanks

    Guido,
I'm the guy in that 750, so yeah, I got a really good look at your bike through that whole section. I think your issue is a combination of all the things you listed above.

enjolyed watching your race except I would have got the holeshsot from second row LOL It's my hunch your front tire was on the lite side. Get over on the front tire and hang off a bit more you would not have crashed. I was hoping you catch the leader and stuff him in T1 like you did on everyone.

upload_2017-8-25_22-26-6.png Play 2 of the same video side by side, from the exit of bus stop and you'll figure it out. 2:27 and 3:53. You hardly rolled out of it for that left on the lap you went down. I would guess you didn't have a good reference in front of you to judge your speed, once you got clear.
