It was a interesting but good weekend. This was the first back for me and the RC since a bad crash in June and my main goal was to test the knee and my endurance for the GNF (still not sure if I am going).

Well endurance was semi decent and the knee was great with almost no loss by the end of Saturday. The RC less so  I blew the end off of my Akrapovic (sorry to the fellow "A" riders for that in session #1) I had looked at it and other than bent it looked fine but must have had a hairline crack. Thanks to TLR67 and his pit mates for the assistance in converting one side to a VERY loud shorty :fear: Other than that I hit a bizarre double false nuetral that I don't think is a real problem but I got my hand up to avoid getting a%% packed and then into the grass to avoid causing others problems. I was hoping to get a dry session in the morning to run through the gears fast but the rain started early and with me just coming off a few months of healing I was just not into wet

Still not sure about the GNF as I need to figure out exhaust (the akra's are no longer made) Also the times were a bit off so I need to gain some more strength back (and less weight) though I was not out of reach of race pace for a fat old sheep on a fat old bike :first:

A strange weekend but still a ton of fun. Hopefully I get less drama at the end of the month.

Had a wonderful time, all three days, even with Sunday's wet mishap. :D Thanks again STT for such a wonderful long weekend of utter bliss!!!!!!

  10. Epic 3 days at a great facility, new friends, old friends, SERIOUSLY good food, gave out a bunch of Triumph swag.....

Richard helped me out on the Apex/Triumph 675R #197 Monday afternoon and turned some great laps!

Its hard to explain to people that have never been to Barber how intense Friday through the end of the event truely is!!!!!!

Next time, can you wait until the END of the rider's meeting? You stole all the ladies attention from me.... I almost cried.

The worst part of our six-day odyssey was having to come home. Southern staff hooked us up! So many good friends and for the first time ever, I GAINED weight at a trackday weekend! Coach Fred, your tow Monday in the final session of the day was the high point of an awesome experience that I wasn't expecting to get even better!

Twice :fear: why the second time :fencing:

Still hunting solutions. I think I have to go back stock exhaust and put some Yosh slipons on, lots of companies stopping RC parts.
