Our season kicked off just two weeks ago at MSR Houston in Angleton, TX. Friday consisted of practices and racer school followed by a mock race. Twenty new racers finished the course and started the process to become Novice racers! Saturday was our Ultra Light Weight and mini sprints followed by a 6-hr Ultra Light Weight Endurance. 46 teams took the grid! Sunday was our big bike sprints including our Formula 1 Expert race. Our 2014 season champion, Brandon Cleland, took the checkered on his MotoAmerica R6.

It was an exciting weekend for all that attended. Our team, Soonerbillz Racing, had a decent showing in the endurance race despite a crash that required an hour of repairs. In the end we were able to get it going, but with only 1:45:00 left on the clock there wasn't much within reach. I did much better in my Sunday sprints on my R1. I was able to take 9th out of 16 in SuperStock Novice and 8th out of 21 in Formula 1 Novice.
