    Scarpino It's Smiles per Gallon......

Have always run the A* pucks since they are about 20 bucks a set at cycle gear in my area.

After continuously hearing great remarks and reviews about the Kluckys on how well they feel on the ground and how long they last (considering rider and track)....I thought I would give them a shot. But before I order....I notice they have the standard model and the rain/ endurance model.

I notice right off hand that the only difference is the thickness, hence the "endurance" factor.

Is the additional cost worth the additional material or is it more ideal to simply use the standard and just replace when needed?

Would you really get 2x's the life out of the endurance model for only a fraction of the cost (about 10 bucks extra compared to the standard model)?

Is there any other brands that you would recommend that are as cost effective as the A* but have the reviews of the Woodcraft?

I've used them in the past and liked the feel of them. Never used the rain model as I didn't want the extra thickness. Standard ones last a good long time. I

I have the regular A*stars on my new suit and Klucky Pucks on my old Spidi. The Klucky Pucks will definitely last longer. I'm already to the wear mark on the A*stars one and I'm not really hard on pucks. The rain ones will probably look kinda silly if it's not actually raining. ;)

The other brand I've seen good reviews on and may try is Bickle.

Yeah...thought it would look pretty goofy with thicker pucks on...but thought about the cost - to - quantity value. I'm always on a budget. lol

almost like watching tv late at night.... "but wait......if you spends just 10 bucks more, we'll send you pucks that are twice as thick!!"

But glad to hear that the standard ones last a while. I'm not real hard on pucks and I try to bring my knee up just enough (if possible) after they touch to try and save them. every little bit counts over a full season I think.

i would say go with standards, the extra thickness may throw you off as well if not rain riding. My standard klucky pucks have lasted several seasons as I am also very light on them. They are very solid, but slide easily. They instill a great confidence with the way they feel to me.

Go with the standard. The others are primarily for rain racing where you want to "naturally" limit your lean angle.

The Klucky Pucks are awesome and all I use. Even when I get a new suit, I change them immediately.

I don't drag my knee on the ground, so I can get 2 years out of a set of them.

I love the Klucky Pucks. If I'm carrying a lot of weigh on the knees to shift chassis weight, I might go through a set in a year. I don't think I've ever replaced a set. I have 3 different colors for different suits and still have all them and they all have plenty of life left in them. I prefer the black to colors, as the colors just black marks on them of course. The rain ones are just double thick to make it easier to get your knee down without a big change in your body position.

Sam, Bickles may be good, but they only work if not placed on your mid shin so you drag leather :).

I run the Bickles I got two seasons out of my last set I could barley get 4 trackdays out of A* 's
Bought mine from Brock off the Apex truck for 30 bucks if I remember right.
I drag my knee a lot. I never touch than pick up.
Bickles saved me a ton of money
