It was a bad deal that happened... and nobody's perfect. I have to chuckle a little when people get really heated and twisted about it.

When MM's dad was going bezerk in the pits, I was trying not to snicker. Come on Dad, he was tickling the big dog with a stick... one of them was going to land on his head. *trying to keep a straight face*

yes, and you know me so well! ;)
jerk offs are jerk offs.... and that is exactly what MM and Jorge are. I did respect them, until they pull this little league BS bush league shit.... just pathetic. You telling me how much I hate is like me telling you how much you hate.... I know nothing of you. and the post I put has nothing to do with hate. it has everything to do with being a dirty asshole when you should be a pro... a good ass whopping never hurts anyone. Me included! its happened before and I deserved it. sometimes, you just gotta kick somebodys ass..

IMO, the clearest evidence is from Marquez's rear view:

Slowed down, you can see the indication that Marquez made contact just before Rossi's leg nudge. Whether or not Rossi's leg 'deliberately' hit his handlebars is still in question since there is no clear footage of that. However, I think this view can only indicate that Marquez contributed to his own crash and Rossi's leg movement was a result of contact. I think if he was 6" wider and had not made contact, then it is very unlikely you would have seen Rossi's leg move; regardless of the intention. There is more evidence in the rear camera view to support that the leg movement was a reaction of contact, not a deliberate move, more than anything. I still have my doubts and am not an uber-Rossi fan by any means, but we cannot see Rossi's foot clearly hitting anything and it's not unusual for your leg to shoot downward if it slips off the peg after contact. Marquez moving closer to him on corner exit and making contact before this leg-gate situation plays a big factor.

MM has nothing to lose. I am a lover of motoGP- Yes, I like Vale, but not to the point of me agreeing with him in everything. He was clearly being harassed and slowed down purposefully.
IF I were the one it was happening to, then I would get twisted! But this stuff does not get me twisted. you don't know me, and will never see me get twisted. That is the point I was making. don't assume to know me and my emotions. I will not assume I know yours. it would take a shit ton of things to happen in order to get me twisted... have a great week and safe riding weekend.

^^^^ This pretty much sums up how I feel about it, although I admit that as a Rossi fan I have a confirmation bias. I like the article kisertn posted also...

HOWEVER, I have since uncovered incontrovertible video footage proving that Rossi did not cause Marquez' crash.

Relax princess.... this is just a discussion on whom everyone has the right to an opinion.... This whole "You don't know me, I don't know you, Don't assume...." getting yourself twisted is taking it a bit far.. I don't know you, that's right; and frankly, I don't care to..

We're all friends here who share a passion for the sport (well, most of us anyway) no reason to come on here that way (IMO).

Wow.. Some ppl are wound way too tight!!!!

    LOL

I think this angle disproves the 'premeditated kick' account.

But damn, the one I'm most disappointed with is Lorenzo. Knowing his level of professionalism and charity, I honestly can't believe his comments about the penalty. Can't believe it.

Cheers to Pedrosa for remaining above it... of course he doesn't have a dog in the fight, eh?

Now Repsol is threatening to leave because of Rossi? What a joke. I think what angers me more than the incident is the commentary from Lorenzo and parties like Repsol and the Marquez camp. Rossi, short of giving an apology, has been pretty transparent about what he did and why. More than you can say about the other side.

    Give me a friggin' break.....

    "...dealt an unsportsmanlike kick..."

I guess no one at Repsol watched the video.

It's getting ridiculous. Rossi admits he forced Marquez wide and clearly describes what happened in a fashion that matches all the evidence. Yes it'd be better if he admitted he made a mistake in forcing him wide, but at least he is honest about what happened and why he did it. The other side, well...

I loved the line about how Jorge should have to start from the back of the grid facing the other way :) (and I'm a Jorge fan - and yes, he is a little sh*t. Next year I am moving my flag to Dani Pedrosa.)

A friend of mine claimed that MM's crew chief said that MM was pissed at Rossi and looking to get back at him in Phillip Island and Sepang... I have yet to see solid proof to support that claim. Regardless of the incident, intentionally messing with another rider is disgraceful. O wah you thought you had it in Argentina and Assen, big whoop, he also dropped his bike 4 times on top of that. Rossi didn't trash MMs championship, he did that just fine on his own but he is acting like a child simply because winning isn't easy any more. Instead of publicly condemning this behavior they protect him and vilify Rossi.

His crew, and Honda, both know of this attitude (if it is true) but they threaten to pull out?!? They are promoting MM to act like a 12 year old and to what end?!? Just so Rossi is stuck at 9? On principal? Another theory I have heard is that MM is trying to beat every one of Rossi's records... 10 is easier to get than 11.

The only thing this little trifecta of butt hurt is doing is driving away MGP fans. Half of Rossi's fans will no longer be as dedicated to the sport. ESPECIALLY if he doesn't ride Valencia.
