I have an older XT Lap Timer (Ultra Lap) with the 6' cord between the receiver and the display. It is not pretty, as it has scratches on it from being on the bike when Peggy went down. I works perfectly though and this would be an inexpensive way to get a lap timer. I guess you could even paint it a bit too if you don't like the looks of it being scratched up. Anyway, price is $65 including USPS flat rate shipping to the lower 48. Contact me via PM (conversations) if you are interested. Thanks
Our track day organization has a transmitter set up at the track (most of the time on the front straight) and every time your bike, with the XT Lap Timer on it, goes past the transmitter, it receives the signal and registers your lap time. The XT brand is the most widely used type lap timer, so most track day providers will most likely have a transmitter set up. Hope that answers your question. I'll go check your PM
