I just bought a 6x12' enclosed trailer with built in tool chest and cabinets. I intend it to double as a hotel room and could use some help making it a home on wheels. Has anyone installed LED lights, A/C, heat, or a screen door on a trailer? Any other cool accessories you can recommend? Thanks in advance!
I have a 5x8 v-nose that I camp in. I have a quick folding cot, overhead fan/led light that is battery powered, little buddy propane heater and a plastic jug that I use for a urinal if I'm not pitted close to a bathroom. I'm going to add a small skylight/vent soon. I've used it in both hot and cold situations and it has worked out well. Saves a lot of money vs staying in a motel and besides, I love camping out at the track! If you go with the disco ball don't forget the block rocker, lol!
while not nearly as exciting as the stripper pole idea............ I have used the cheapo screen netting with good results. only downside the magnets could be stronger but for the cost I didn't expect much. It works better on a side door if you have that option
Can I be SUPER lazy and ask for a link? There are so many options, I'd like to have a tested solution.

I don't have a link but here's what I did. I went to Cabela's and shopped in their camping section, found what I thought would work best for me and then went shopping online to save some cash. You have a larger trailer so your wants or needs will vary from my setup. I chose to be as simplistic and self sufficient as I could be. Back in my motocross days I had a trailer similar in size as yours with air conditioning but that requires electricity so you'll need a site with a hookup or a generator for that.
Use one of those portable room a/c on wheels and you duct into the floor and strap it against the front wall or be a baller and get the roof top a/c with heat strip
Propane is nice, as you do not need any electricity. However I did a small 110 heater. In the south, except at one track there is always 110. Now it does not warm up the trailer to say 65 but it does take the chill off. Only time I have wanted more was one night it got to 35. My sleeping bag is rated to 40 so I was fine sleeping, but getting up in the morning I missed a warmer trailer. the small electric heater had the trailer to about 48. So long as it stays in the mid 40's at night the electric heater gets me to around mid 50's. and that works for me. I have both 110 LED lights and back up battery powered LED lantern. I use the LED lantern when I first get to the track, and if I need to get up at night. Once plugged in I use the 110v LED light. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=V497YSXTAZAM5YQYF0TF&ref_=pd_lutyp_cxhsh_2_4 this is over kill for your size trailer, but if you installed this it would be like full daylight at the equator, it is that bright http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lithonia...Wraparound-Ceiling-Flushmount-LBL-4/203839057

I insulated my roof with 1" form and heat with this. http://www.kmart.com/craftsman-ceramic-workshop-heater/p-006W005290452001P Actually will make my 6x12 as warm as you want. but any small 15000watt ceramic will work I got mine at xmas on sale for 25 ish used this flooring http://www.menards.com/main/floorin...r-protector-7-5-x-17-coin/p-1444425397322.htm four strips of these on the ceiling http://www.autozone.com/exterior-lighting/light-strip/alpena-flexled-light/976054_0_0/?checkfit=true
I used the same 1" rigid insulation for my roof. I also insulated my walls. As I ran wiring in the walls I used this stuff for the walls. It worked awesome. I left a 1" gap between the wall and roof. Then ran all my conduit inside that. then used a basically 45 degree "cap" between the wall and ceiling to hide the conduit. Have electricity in my walls and it looks pretty good. Did not want to run the conduit on the outside of the walls. Running it this way was a lot more work but not more expensive. As my time was "free" this past winter I have been working on it as time allows. Got it at Grainger Duct Insulation 1-1/2In x 48In x 25Ft Item #: 6ZKK3
R/T performance, was wondering what you used to hang your pit bull stands on the wall? Very nice trailer btw!
I went this route a well. Only time I ever had an issue was during a July track day at Barber. Even with an insulated roof the portable ac was too weak to overcome the 130 degree paddock temps in my 6x12! If you haven't spent the money yet I would weigh the option on getting a rooftop ac unit. Much more expensive and will probably need to reinforce your roof somewhat, but will perform better than a portable unit. But either way you'll need to insulate and I recommend coating your roof as well with some RV roof coating as well for added insulation. Wanna go even cheaper? I actually saw a group of guys once that fashioned temporary back door out of plywood with a cutout for a window ac unit. They dropped the back ramp, propped the new "door" up and hooked up the ac...gotta say their trailer was cooler than mine was!
yes there nice raxx and the web store is back up here is a link http://www.niceraxx.com/index.htm Can't believe after all the work I have put in this trailer it will likely be forsale this year since we now need a 7x14-16
I just got my first enclosed. 6x10. I put some etrack on the walls and a power inverter. Threw some 20 dollar leds around the top and a wheel chock up front. It will work for this season but I need bigger!
