I have a 2011 Suzuki GSXR 600 for sale.... I won a few championships on her. If I had a few days notice I could set it up for rent. You can try a Yamaha R6 in race ready condition and rent that from Trackside Suspension Engineering. There are up near black hawk farms not too far away. I believe they charge 1k per day.... maybe it's for a weekend. I don't recall.

Email me bart@designengine.com if you want a PDF It's set up for my ZX6 and does not take into account the fresh pave

Looks like I'll be there, assuming no work emergencies today!

Just signed up for Autobahn tomorrow in intermediate. It will be a new track to me so I will be looking for a tow in the morning. Not sure how many coaches will be available but would love to grab some laps with one of you if possible.

Thanks, it was too short of a notice so my in-law had to settle with watching behind the fence. But thanks for the tip about Track Suspension Engineering.

On the topic of Autobahn, I have a weird question. Does anyone have some photos of bikes in the air after hitting the jump on the full course? I've been searching to try to explain it to someone and my Google-fu is failing me pretty badly.

I rode the south course yesterday and the north course last year. Now I want to do the full course and the thought of a jump makes it more exciting! :)

Jumps x.x Fun for you veterans but for a novice like myself, no thanks. I rode the S course yesterday (first time tracking ever) and had enough fun coming off of turns, pinning the throttle in second, having the front wheel float a bit and doing it again in 3rd before aggressively braking and setting up for the next turn.
I'd like to say to the STT group that I've never had that much fun on a motorcycle. I've been riding 25+ years and yesterday was the most exhilarating riding I've ever done. From the pre-ride talk outside to the first session of the day, you guys were professional, courteous and willing to help me understand what I was to experience throughout the day. The riders I met on the paddock were equally AWESOME. Helping me to understand the lines and offering advice on how to be smoother on the track.

Nobody "openly" made fun of my naked street bike, the fact that was the only one wearing a sport touring suit "bmw rallye" and didn't have racing boots on. I appreciate that :) as I felt like a bump on a log riding/walking past most of you!
Looking forward to my next track day as the wife is on board and prefers I ride in a safer environment, albeit much faster and far more aggressive.

For anyone looking to do their first track day...JUST DO IT. In the novice group you ride at your own pace. If you're a slower rider, it's as simple as putting yourself at the back of the grid as the session is starting. They also split you up into small groups (10-12) I believe to alleviate congestion.

Thanks to everyone at STT and novice/advanced riders I met during the day. Didn't meet anyone in intermediate as I didn't venture far from my paddock area.

ROCK ON! HOLY @#$@ WHAT A RUSH! See you for the 3 day event at the end of May.

For sure was a lot of fun out there, was nervous with the low temps as I was sliding all over the place for the first few laps each session. Thanks to the coach that let me move up to Intermediate on my second track day! What a blast being able to ride mostly flat out for 20 minutes on my little 300, being able to pass in corners makes all the difference on a small bike. Probably wont make it out with you guys again until Gingerman in June, that looks like a fun track and it got a 100% fresh repave last year so there should be some serious grip.

So finally got a Video uploaded of the first Novice run after lunch.

Anyone have any advice for the lines I was taking in the corners? Sorry to the coach that I kept stuffing trying to get around the litre bike you were following :(. Was trying to work on getting later apexes to try to get some more speed on the straight so everyone wouldn't blow passed my 300 so badly. My transitions in the S-bends got slow after the morning session, stock forks rebound so quickly my front tire comes off the ground when flicking too quickly back and forth and with the cold track it was sliding so I slowed it down a little.

Whoever was in the red leathers on a white Ducati I believe, this video has about 10 minutes of me following you so you should check it out.

Great job SadPanda carrying speed through the corners. For sure it's more fun with a smaller bike than with a truck 1000. I just never got confident with the tires at those temperatures, much less with seeing a guy low-side in front of me. Hope he is ok.

Nice video and thanks for sharing. As I ride a liter bike (and a naked street at that), it's a real PITA on the turns however, I felt really confident with my tires all day (m7rr) and learned a few things from the riders I interacted with. As it was my first track day, I didn't want to bother the coaches with questions. I'll wait until the next time :)
