What type of tape do you guys use for your lights? I'd like to avoid as much adhesive residue as possible.

Yup....blue painters tape leaves zero residue.

Don't forget to disconnect your headlight.

Thanks guys. I was thinking painters tape but wasn't sure if it would actually hold up well after awhile

You may need something better than one laver of painter’s tape for the tail/brake light. The requirement is the lens must be taped and the brake light cannot be visible. So you may have disconnect the brake light, remove the brake light bulb(s) or use better/more tape. You can put better tape over the painters tape to reduce residue.

I have always used duct tape and never had any issue with it leaving residue as long as the lights were unplugged and I didn't leave the tape on there for weeks after the track day was over

I use electrical tape. Only black tape I could find (other than duct tape), it has been on my bike since Barber in March and still hasn't come off, and leaves no residue.
