    Coaches,

On Saturday 4/23 I had a great time riding at NOLA and by the end of the day felt pretty darn confident that it was coming together, but was not able to chase down or connect with a coach to see how I was doing. I was definitely not being aggressive enough in seeking out feedback from my group (3) coach, which is my own fault. However, I noticed in more than one picture from a couple different sessions that I had been followed by a coach on a dark color bike who wore a silver helmet. Can anyone tell me who that is so that I can ask if he recalls riding behind me? Picture attached shows me in front of said coach. I shouldn't be too hard to remember on my blue Buell wearing my decade old Zero-60 ebay special leathers!

The coaches usually always stop near the paddock when they exit the track. Stop there for any questions you have, as they love to give you feedback and pointers. I actually stop most every time I come off the track for a quick question or bit of advice. I went straight over to Curts ( Fast Fossil) pit area and asked him for a evaluation. He was more than happy to set me up with a coach for the next session. Im sure you could go to any coach and if hes not coaching your group he or she will get you the help you need.

I will keep this in mind for next time. Especially afternoon sessions when classroom is over. I hope to not remain in novice for too much longer, but there were plenty of good riders in novice on Saturday.

Hi NH_to_MS, I was the coach behind you in the picture. I am sorry I did not see this post sooner. When I am behind someone I usually follow for a lap or so and if I see anything that really stands out I will pass and tap my tail for you to follow or slide my butt back and forth to show someone needs to get off the bike more in corners etc... I remember being behind you a couple of times and not seeing anything that really stood out or I would have done something like listed above. I wish I could give you more feedback, but there is a lot rattling around in my brain since the track weekend. Usually the lead instructor will be at pit out at least by second call. If you cannot find someone to work with you one on one get there a little early and they will find you someone to work with or follow you themselves. We are all happy to help and give any help we can.

    Thanks,
    Mike Davis

I will consider it good news that nothing really stood out to you, at least nothing that made you think I didn't belong there or was a danger to myself or anyone else.
