I have just about talked my Dad into letting my youngest brother get on the track. He is currently looking at getting a set of two piece leathers. We are are still on the fence with some of the Cycle gear stuff. I'm trying to get them to get at least the Scorpion EXO SJ2 and SP2. Will the 21" circumference zipper work for Novice?

Thanks, I saw that, just not sure if the 21" zipper will pass.

Unless you have a 42 waist or greater, it would appear that a 21 zipper meets the rules according to the quote above. That's fine for Novice, but moving up, eventually, you will want better protection. You JUST MISSED a great deal that STG had on a full set of Scorpion leathers for $399 on closeout...

Thanks. I'll have to see what size he is. Eventually he will get a one piece after he gets some track days done.

I use a Alpinestars Celer leather jacket with Alpinestars Missile airflow leather pants that zip together around the sides and back and haven't had a problem with the two novice days I've done. That said, if I were doing it again I would've just gone ahead and gone 1 piece

Maybe, maybe not Witney....I bought a 1 piece suit right off the bat...then had to buy another one when I moved up, and found out the back protector wouldn't fit inside with me!
