I will be attending my second track day in 2 years on 7/30 at Autobahn and was wondering if there would be tire service , specifically for an sv650 (160). Where could I find more info on this? Prices, compounds, etc etc. Thanks!
Usually Sportbike Tire Service is there: Michelin tires; when I was at Putnam, the only tire I saw for an SV was the Pilot Power 3's. https://www.sportbiketireservice.com/ You might try to reach out to them in advance, maybe they can order something for you. Otherwise, they will still unmount/mount tires that you buy elsewhere for 20 a tire. For reference, I ran PP3's OK for trackdays and one race for SS.
I ran PP3's on my FZ6 but after a full weekend at putnam my tire guy said I was pushing the limits of the tires and should get something more track orientated. I've since sold the bike but now I run Pirelli Rosso II's and I love them.
