anyone going to this new to the area would like to buddy up/ be pit pals with someone seems like a pretty good deal of $225 for 2 days, but it also makes me wonder how is the track good? bad? ugly? any input would be great. (i fall somewhere in the intermediate rider skill/speed range) Thanks, Chris.
This is a great track. A core pillar of CCS racing in the Midwest. I've got so many laps there, I can run it with my eyes closed.

I will be at Autobahn on Saturday and Blackhawk Sat/Sun next week. It will be my first, second, and third track day and I will be solo all three days. I wouldn't mind linking up with anyone who has some good advice/knowledge around the track. I know STT has a great community!
My first season as well but I'm a wealth of bad information! Honestly though, ask the coaches. That's what they're there for and I've yet to experience one (at STT anyway) that didn't want to make me a better rider.
yeah what he said. biggest advise to give someone just starting is to go to all classroom sessions in Novice and use the coaches. coaches have a way of breaking things down that you can digest and build from. they have done it all so many times (in terms of coaching first timers on up) that if you follow the advise you will get comfortable and speed will follow. Fellow riders can help but use the coaches to build a base and go up from there step by step. You picked a great two tracks to ride and will have a blast! Just remember: go slow to go fast
Might be in for this one, never been to this track before and getting anxious to ride since the season is winding down. I may wait a little longer to get better forecast on weather, hopefully it doesn't sell out!

just got booked for sunday i convinced a guy i work with to come out and do his and do a track day for the first time so ill be sure to keep an eye out for you. do you have a grill i can bring some food for us or something.
