Be there on Saturday riding in novice again on my Buell xb9r. Need to get my new tires mounted this weekend.
Well I hate to think the turnout will be as bad as this threat indicates, but hey, it leaves more empty track for the rest of us. Looking forward to a great weekend with low cornering and lots of good seafood.
Nola is my local track, i am certain there will be more people... i know me and about 10 others who will be there, most of them aren't on here that i know of. With that said Nola isn't like barber where they sell out every group, which is a good thing for the riders, i think. i know stt has to make money, but i enjoy having clear track every now and then. I'm not certain why turn out has been down lately, cause its a great track, price isn't as high as some, and the track does seem try to accommodate motorcycles as best as possible. Weather is starting cool down some, its still hot but not like July/august which was brutal...
I hope to do my part to help keep NOLA on the schedule with STT is one reason that I have been riding it this year over doing any days at Barber (yet). That and it costs less and is a little closer to where I live.
If it is any indication by how it is in south Mississippi right now, bring plenty of windex and paper towels for cleaning off the love bugs during the day.
Great fun on Saturday, even though the deluge thunderstorm cut our day 2 sessions short. The crowd was light, so there was plenty of open track and coaches were readily available to help and offer advise.
Had a fantastic weekend at NOLA. What a great track. If you haven't done it yet, trust me, it's worth the drive. Thanks to Trevor and Felix and all of the great coaches.
