Ooops. Noticed after I posted that there's a dedicated gear section. Sorry. As my avatar indicates...I am truly a n00b.

I wear the H.I.T airbag vest every single time I'm out on the track. I swear by it! Crashed in it 4 times and I just roll it back up, stick a new Co2 cartridge in it and go back out. Definitely worth the money to me!

Great, thanks! Especially good to know they may survive a few offs.

Do you have the race model or one of the bigger versions?

Like you, I have the Hit-Air vest. I've always figured I could protect a lot of my body with leather or other things, but protecting your neck is much more difficult. I bought a Leattt brace as soon as they came out and then got the air vest when they arrived on the scene. Expensive but a layer of security I don't want to be without.

I have the race version that teathers to the back of the bike. My helmet has never hit the ground with my airbag vest on. Out of 4 crashes the best doesn't even look like it's been used, zero scuffs, tears or breaking of seams. HIGHLY recommend investing in one! Doesn't get in the way or hinder you from body positioning but yes it does take some getting used to having an extra layer over your suit

Draik has always worn a hit air vest from SaferMoto.com

He has had several crashes and we feel he has always faired better because of them. I highly recommend them. He's worn several different styles as he has grown. He's been wearing the racer vest for the last two seasons and likes it the best.

Have been through two, on my third.
Definitely worth the money. I've broken the same collar bone twice. First time was on the street at 25 mph. If you can avoid destroying the vest on the track, it is reusable. HIT racer vest here. Never leave the pits without it. My next move will be the airbag suit.

Thanks for all the replies! I went with a Hit Air MLV-YC due to the increased coverage area, road-use conspicuity, and some dude on reddit said he races in it with no problem. Will be wearing it this weekend at NCM, even if debris is falling from the sky.
