Any issues with tire wear? Why are you selling? Possible to get a pic or two of the hitch area? Thanks!
I've not had any issues with tire wear. The tires are wearing evenly, with about 20,000 - 25,000 miles on them currently. There is plenty of tread left on them I'm selling the trailer because my current job will not allow me to make it out to track days or racing for at least the next 3 summers, and there is no sense in letting the trailer sit for that long. I've had no problems with the hitch, and it works properly. It's a standard 2" ball hitch. Next time I'm able to get to the storage bin where I keep the trailer I'll take a shot or two and post. I'll try to get this done by Tuesday September 27th.
The electric setup in this is pretty impressive! Nice trailer. But may I ask why you mounted the stand holders upside down? lol
Because it is a low height trailer, (Low Haulers have about a 60-62" inside height) the stands would interfere with loading the bikes if the handles were up. With the wheels and horizontal parts near the ceiling, the stands and bikes fit nicely without interfering with each other.
Ah I see. Is it not a PITA to put them on though? I have two of them in my trailer, and mine's a low-profile as well (about 5'6" inside height). I could see how it'd be more efficient putting them up above and upside down like that. I just put mine towards the front of the trailer next to where my toolbox goes. Not in the way of the bikes, but I could sure use that space for other things. I might have to re-organize some things in the off-season. GLWTS!
Other than having to invert them before hanging them, this mounting scheme is no more difficult than the handle-up mounting. And it's much more space efficient.
please email your contact information, I have a buddy that would like to talk about trailer, fellow STT member. Thanks Chris McDermott chrisljmcd@aol.com
