I'm not a huge video game guy but the last few winters I've relied on the MotoGP game to hold me over until the track weather comes back around. Anybody aware of any games that have Barber, Road Atlanta, or NOLA? Car or bike, I don't care, I just think it'd be fun to have access to those tracks. I did a little searching but came up empty handed. Alex
I play games here and there but not generally racing games... though I do like RIDE, there are no games that I'm aware of for the big 3 systems that feature our common tracks.
look into 'Project Cars' it has a ton of tracks from all over the globe, and tons of cars to choose from.
I found Road Atlanta, Road America, and Laguna Seca on Forza. That Ride game looks fun but I can't find it on Xbox 360. Looks like I'm going to be limited because of the old console. I guess the market for a MotoAmerica game isn't big enough. I did find Barber on iRacing but I'm not going through all the hassle of buying new equipment and setting up an account with them.
Project Cars has Road America and Road Atlanta. Motorcycle? RIDE, MOTOGP and that's it. I'm trying to beat my fastest time on Ride @ Road America. Of all the 1000cc bikes I am fastest on the S1000RR (suped up with all the add on's) at 2:13.8 (3 laps each, best time) On the Superbikes I can go faster but this test was bikes I bought stock at the dealer and modified.
There is Ride 2* out since October, and I like RFactor 2 over Project cars. It has Barber, Putnam, and Road America, Road Atlanta is being worked on. *Ride 2 has Ulster GP, and Northwest 200!
I just figured out how to download Ride straight to the Xbox. Only had a few mins to mess with it. Couldn't find the S1000. I got a few laps on the R1 before I had to leave, best I could get was 2:17. It's got a little different feel than MotoGP, a little more forgiving. I'll have to hunt around for the S1000 and get some more seat time to be in your league.
Haha. I have more fun trying to best my times than actually racing! The Superbikes get you into the 2:09 - 2:10 range!! I couldn't get the R1 faster than a 2:15. It's funny how in a game the bikes all have different feel, power delivery, handling and braking. I think MOTOGP was more forgiving, in Ride you can loop the bike if you are too strong on acceleration (or slide off easier).
Yea, I agree. I've had the most fun so far racing my ghost. I've only had it show up a few times though. Is there a trick to getting it to show all the time?
Settings perhaps? Mine is always present, it disappears when you are close in time and it's next to you.
XBOX 360? SBK Generations (on disk), MotoGP 14 (on disk), RIDE (download from xbox live), MotoGP 15 (download from xbox live). This gets me thru the winter...along with sitting on my bike in a freezing garage making WAH WAH noises once a week.
I play Call of Duty Remasterd, Rossi The Game, and RIDE on Xbox one till the weather starts to get better.
