I'm going to install SS brake lines on my bike this weekend I'm wanting to know what brake fluid do you prefer? I'm looking for a fluid that is really good even though I'm still in Novice.

Thanks for the input! I'm slowly getting the bike ready for the season so I'm wanting to do everything right the first time.

IMO any quality DOT 4 is good.. The key is is to keep it fresh and changed every 5th weekend or so..

    Brake Fluid 101
Any brake fluid worth buying will have 2 boiling temperature (dry & wet) listed on the label. Once the seal on the brake fluid container is broken the fluid will start to absorb moister from the air and the moister will lower the wet boiling temp. The brakes will fade if/when the fluid boils. If you have a choice get the DOT 4 with the highest wet temp.

I use Motul RBF 600 if there is fade issues, but I do not like that it has a golden tint so it is hard to tell if it needs to be flushed. I like Castrol (I don't remember the model, it comes in a white bottle) because it is clear and I can tell when it needs to be changed when it starts to have a golden tint.

Buy a speed bleeder. It will make the process much less painful

Just got some RBF 600. Going to be a nice weekend so I'm going to spend a few hours getting the bike ready for track season. That's for everyone's input.

RBF600?! All that stuff does is help slow you down. :)
