Good weekend at Gman, some r---, more than "some" oil down on the track, and got used to seeing red flags in Advanced a lot. A first timer pulled in next to me on Sunday, so that was fun. ("No rear brake, really?" None at all, really.) Exercised the Red Baron SV and the ZX10, and the SV had a special guest rider on Sunday, who did fantastic on it, and maybe the SV dark side has another convert now. Attempts to organize the A group into lines to release to track were futile, we're just a mob that can't get that worked out, better just to stick to waves, fast guys will push to the front, let them go. There's always going to be traffic, lines or waves. In one on-track shot, there are 15 bikes in frame (at 6:04), stretched between 5 and 7... but all were riding well, and the Trackfest activities were great too! But... Gman is now a one-line track, that eats my Pirellis at a rate unmatched by any track bar Putnam and Tally. Too bad, it was so much nicer last year.
Yay you got me on the SV650. I look like King Kong on a circus bike. lol I rode the 1000 on Saturday and got great tire wear on an SC1 rear. Only used about a 1/3 of a tire. Just gotta work on that set up. Thanks for the video!!
Yeah, you were rocking it out there! Yeah, something is definitely working better on your 1000, our setups were pretty similar, but not enough. I tried a LOT of options, and I finally gave up and switched to the rain map in the last 2 sessions Sunday to keep the 2nd tire from getting wiped out completely. Managed to go a second faster with less power and less spinning...and less traffic.
