Heading to Barber 8/12 for my second track day this year. It will be just me and my son and was wondering if any other father and son track riders out there.
I am a Father..... But have no sons.... I do hang out at the track with a bunch of Mother's though....
I think it's a great family sport and time well spent with my son, and mom agrees it safer than the street.
Yep. As soon as my oldest son turned 16 I took him to Road Atlanta. Now he and I do 5-6 TD's a year. I would not let him ride on the street without me until he proved that he had the ability to ride in Novice class comfortably. He's in Intermediate now and having a blast. He is #95, that's me behind him.
That's cool, my son is 18 and Barber will be his second TD. I will look for you and the kid next time at Talladega. Do you know of any track day providers that go to Tally other than STT? We would like to go back this year but stt schedule is not good for me.
This is what I am trying to do with my boys. Got them in the dirt as of now, but they are still young lol
My son and I went to NCM a couple of weeks ago. Me on my R6 and him on his SV650. He is faster than me. Be ready for that.
My dad started doing track days with me 5 years ago. Love our time together. We love the whole experience. Always looking for a better way to pack our items, camp better, and of course trim some time off our laps. As you can see, trying to pass this passion onto my son as well. He is 4 and riding an electric dirt bike already without trainers.
