I'm trying to find more information on indoor/outdoor mini-moto/Grom racing in Michigan. I've seen photos at Kart to Kart (indoor) and I guess there's an outdoor track in Lansing. I've found a Facebook page, but no real good information on how to find dates, venues, contacts, etc. Any insight is appreciated, thank you!
I'm interested in this as well. I thought there was a place in Clinton Township that had Grom racing, but I can't seem to find the info. The only place I can seem to find anything with set dates is the kart track at Road America.
Hate to be a wet blanket but I got into motorcycle track days because of trying mini moto first and finding that there’s not much sustained interest in it. If you can find likeminded people in your area who are willing to seek out vacant parking lots and get used to having a few to choose from because you will eventually get properly warned that “you can’t do this here” you might have a chance of making it work. I thought that it would be easy to find what I’m proposing but in the end it was a waste of time and money to try to promote and support this sport. Not saying that you and a few friends can’t have a lot of fun but my experience has been that it only last’s a little while before people loose interest. Motorcycle track days are always available! I wish you luck....
There is one guy who rents Kart 2 Kart on Sunday morning and I'm working on getting more info. The MI Mini-moto group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/561965430645367/about/ has got a go kart track in Lansing to allow bikes during open practice sessions. http://www.karttrack.com/schedule.html There are a number of indoor and outdoor kart tracks and lots of us want more seat time and have the equipment so maybe it would just take a more concerted effort?
