Wondering if it’s worth the trouble to ride grattan in October?
Looking to sign up for next Saturday, forecast shows 50s and partly sunny
I have a zx6 with DOT slicks and warmers
Anybody ride in cooler temps at grattan?

basically you will NOT be able to run the same lap times as if its July!

heh, but long as no rain, after lunch despite low temps track should be fine to ride 70% of your ability safely rest of the day staying dry and 50-60 ish temps!

the early morning sessions, its best to AVOID the sealer patches of square/rectangle areas in the corners. they be slick vs the regular aspault. (if you didnt already know).

Leaves in the bus stop can be spooky. Other then that, tracks still fun. Depends on you.

At those temps, the go/no-go for me is how much sun there will be.

You can assume the morning sessions are going to be garbage no matter what. If it's sunny, the track will probably come in and be fun after lunch... If it's really cloudy all day, it probably won't. If it's something in between then... uh... it'll be something in between.

    Thanks for the advice fellas
I’ve ridden grattan about 5 times prior and in great weather. Forecast hasn’t really improved and I assume without sunlight the track would be slick....
    Guess we’ll see Friday

you a novice rider? you'll be fine, unless your tires are BALD. Use a penny or tire depth gauge and make sure their 50% of new!
