    Hello,

    Bike: 2009 Ninja 650R
    stock gearing is: 15T / 46T

I'm keeping the 15T front on for now, but what rear would be ideal?
Go +2 bigger in the rear, 48T?

    With std sprockets Grattan has:

    1 1st gear - turn 10
    1 Long straight. 5th gearish

    David,
    Definitely try to 48.
A lot of bikes with stock gearing will not pull redline in top gear anyway so you might actually gain top speed.

I think they might be geared that way so at 60 mph they have lower RPMs emitting less engine noise to meet noise requirements.

After that don’t worry about it and just ride. I see lots of guys spending money on go fast items when they would benefit more from more seat time.
