The "better late than never" facts - WOO HOO!!!!!!

Friday - small / medium / large bikes - all intermediate rules

    Saturday
    - regular direction - normal day

Sunday - regular direction - normal day

    Spots still available all days!!!!!

Gates will open 5:00pm CST time Thursday evening. Gates close at 10:00pm Thursday night and re-open at 7:00am on Friday. You must be in the track by 10:00pm or you don't get in til the morning. Tally is in the CENTRAL time zone. There is a $5 per person, per day gate fee at Tally. Please come prepared. Camping is free. There is some power and you pay the track for that.

Sportbike Tire Service is doing tire service for this event.

Unfortunately, THERMOSMAN will not be there this weekend.

    No lunch concession this weekend.

Sign-up opens 7am, closes for the day at 10:30am.

    Tech 7:00am-10:30am.

Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle.

    - helmet mounted Gopros are not allowed at all on track

    - in our novice group, Gopros are not allowed on track in the morning sessions - in the afternoon sessions they are fine as long as the above rules are followed.

Mandatory rider's meeting at 8:20am all days - you must be there or you will not ride. Tech and registration are closed during the rider's meeting.

Camping is free, some electric is available, you pay the track for that.

Pets are allowed, must be on a leash at ALL times. Please "clean up" after your pets.

    Showers are in the silo.

No fuel is available at the track.

Small Jiffy Mart right by the track, many motels in Oxford/Anniston, about 15 minutes away.

As always we ride "rain or shine" - come prepared.

Any questions, please post up here.

    See you there!!!

Fun was had man! Several things were learned. 1.) I am slightly out of shape 2.) No more track days for me in peak summer. Rode 5 sessions and decided I had enough of the heat. By the time I loaded all my junk up, I'm pretty sure I had a mild heat stroke, dizzy, throbbing headache, etc. It was intense!

But damn it was fun! Man, how refreshing it was to be back on track! I was really impressed with the NC's handling too! Just sucks on power. R3's were pulling on me slightly in the straights, only way I could pass anybody was outbrake them or prepare and exit the corner harder and overtake.

Nice I'm glad you had fun-its so addicting!!! but that was me just couple of weeks ago. I felt super slow and I was worn out, out of shape etc but it gradually got better as the day went. It's time to bump up that cardio and come do a track day at Barber. I plan on being there!

I want to go in October so bad, but the Barber weekend is my wife's birthday weekend, and I know to choose my battles wisely. LOL. So far I am still planning on going back to Tally mid September, then it's a toss up after that. Want to at least hit Barber once this Fall, maybe November in worst case.
