Hey, Has anyone tried using electrolyte/hydration tablets for trackdays to help with giving you that edge to keep hydrated along with drinking alot of water? I drink water 2 days before a trackday and ALOT during. But I still get pretty de-hydrated 1-2 sessions after lunchtime. Does anyone have real personal experience and feedback with using these tablets to aid you? What brand worked for you?
Water water and more water. Start hydrating at least a whole week (...or two) prior. Keep drinking water, Gatorade (or similar), pedialite. Water alone won’t do the trick, gotta recoger the salt and sugar lost.
I use gatorade powder mix and make a little over a gallon for each track day. That usually does the trick for me.
Yes we use hydration tabs. we buy nuun There available from meijer they help. Hot long weekends are a must have.
I Mostly water with some Powerade but not a lot. I learned the hard way (night in the hospital with near kidney failure) that all Powerade is not good
I second using Nuun. I can’t stomach Gatorade and pedialyte. I also use Nuun for cycling and triathlons. Electrolytes without extra sugars.
