Would you prefer an all female trackday or a mixed event?

  1. All female, all day, no guys attend

I would love a women's track day only but I don't think we'd have enough girls for one!!

But I will wait and see! :D

    Great job!

Well.....that depends on how far you're willing to travel! If it's in the midwest, we can pull from a multi-state area for particpants...I can make it happen!

Well hopefully I will be able to trailer myself this year!! That was the problem in the past....a lot of girls didn't have trailers and such.

I do miss our girl session out here in the MW, we had a lot of girls that actually rode at track days.

I think we had 10 girls at one Autobahn day!!!

You bring up a good point about the trailer issue; it's a topic that I've been researching. Did you know you can rent a U-Haul motorcycle trailer? In some cases, as cheap as $15 a day!

I'll post links here now, but look for a full story coming soon.

Well Im not a girl but I guess I will speak for my wife. I think mixed would be best so we can ride together. It would harder for her to go alone, and it would drive me nuts to take her to the track and not be able to ride. I am not opposed to the women riders having there own group (if they want) but how would you pull that off without shortening the sessions? Also that may present a prob due to everyones different skill levels.

Thanks Andrew, all good points. I'm looking at both a normal trackday and a Femmoto-specific day. We"d allow the guys to ride if that's what the poll shows as the majority of preference, but the day would be structured differently than a usual track day (hence, no worries about shortening sessions, as the day is about/for the ladies!). There will be more polls to come around this topic as I start to put it together.

I've seen Toyota Corollas towing bike trailers, lol! But good luck with the SUV, I don't know how anyone even remotely involved with our sport doesn't have one! Couldn't live without my big fat Yukon.

Another thing to keep in mind if you are trying to do a female only track day where are you going to get enough staff to run the event. Yes there are a couple females in the Midwest staff but I don't think there is enough to run the event. I think you will have better luck doing a split event and will get a better turn out.

Thx...an all female event means the customers are female, not staff.

I just think it's great to have more women riding at the track. However that can be accomplished, I'm all for it. I went to all ladies event at Jennings once.... it was painful for the hubby to watch all day. Although he did and NEVER complained. I have more fun when he's riding, too. And, I don't care about guys on the track at the same time. But it's really great to see more women riding and I think STT does a good job making everyone, women too, feel welcome, etc.

Looking forward to this years events..... Any other girls going to Roebling next week to ride??

It's not about not having the guys there, it's about pulling the gals together for fun! The ladies trackday event I go to up in Loudon NH ends up being a really great time! It's a different and still very fun day. There are still plenty of guys there to help & hang out, watch, whatever... I even think doing a girls group on a mixed track day is a great idea. It does help bring more girls out to the track to start out where they may have never came out to the track at all. Then they too might start mixing in on the regular track day groups. It may also help get more ladies into "Femmoto" or STT.

I'm late coming in but I guess I'm in the minority here, as usual. I'm a girl and I would not attend a female only track day myself :)
