Been awhile, but wanted to post a follow up to Laguna Seca. I have to tip my hat to the WSBK & MotoAmerica organizations. They have created an environment that puts the fans a short distance smack in the face from the teams and the riders. The opportunity to interact with the riders up close and personal was awesome, and as a bonus every rider I saw was friendly and accommodating to all of the fans in the paddock. It's a stark and refreshing contrast to MotoGP.
The paddock show is a great place to watch the race, and listen to commentary. WSBK is doing a great thing for the fans! I wish the two wheel sports gained more attention in the US so MotoGP, and WSBK would come to more US venues, and allow me to see more MotoAmerica on the TV!!

Would like to upload pictures but files are too large.

Never been to a MotoGP race but I tend to agree that WSBK puts you up close and personal with the teams and riders. At Miller in 2010 Corser was hanging around next to the carting track during the cart race (where all the riders dice it up in shifter carts on Friday afternoon). He was just standing there chatting with a couple fans and seemed genuinely interested in the conversation. I actually got a souvenir knee puck from him after the final race on Sunday.
