    Hi all!
Is it too early to be starting a discussion for this event...?
Well, am (planning!) coming over from Dallas, and looking to see if there's any other Texas folks getting a plan-ahead idea too...

STT team, could anyone advise, what's the expected average participation for the fast / licensed racers, group?

    Thanks

Should be sold out regardless so I would sign up ASAP..but WERA Cycle Jam is at Road Atlanta the same weekend.

Marc, thanks for the quick reply.
I've only done two events with STT in the past. One at Barber, one of the 'limited' weekends (couldn't have even been about 15-18 riders), and NOLA (about the same, maybe 20-22). Both were very sparsely attended.
Could you share with me please, what is the normal attendance count, as you say, "should be sold out"? I honestly don't know if that means 30 riders, or 60....
Sorry for all the questions, but am sure you understand, if I'm going to be driving 10 full+ hours, I want to truly make sure it's not a congested mess.
The last time I was there at Barber, and with the limited attendance, was running 1:35 - :36 laps. Am wanting to really get out there and have some fun on open track, as much that I can, for a track day.
    Thanks! -Greg

Greg I don't think that's a LED weekend so each class each day will be capped at 45 riders..as far as determining how many here 3 months prior it's doubtfull to know... I would ride Monday if I were you because that day will have the least amount of people.. On a side note 45 riders leaves MORE than enough room to click off times like that...FBF our flag crew does a great job of spacing everyone out.. Also driving 17 hours to Road America I was amazed when I counted 70 plus riders rolling down hot pits while waiting for someone.., but just the same when spread out good you won't have any issues.. Drive over and do all three days.. Make the most of your trip..

I will be there Sunday and Monday. I will be racing Road atlanta on Saturday. I look forward to seeing you again. If you follow the STT facebook page, as you get closer to the event they will post how many spots are available. That said guys run 30 flats there with a full track of 40 riders. Lots of space. Mondays are usually wide open especially later in the day as people pack up early. All of that said, STT doesnt have a 2 or 3 day weekend there in April or May so i would expect it to sell out fast.

My humble opinion, but, 35s and 36s are a race pace. That should not be happening during a trackday. Lots of opportunities for things to happen with possibly someone less skilled on the track.

Marc / Andrew, thanks for the replies, sorry I was away and offline for a couple days. Will get signed up now.
Andrew, that works out perfectly, I did decide to do the Sunday/Monday days too. Will be great to ride with you again, hope all has been really good with you, since our last event at NOLA! And, hope you do well and kick some azz on Saturday!

Hey Andrew, Are you brining your wife to this event? My girlfriend is going to attend (not ride) the weekend with me, so it'd be nice for her to have some girls to hang out with.

    Hello all.
Could I ask please, for an appropriate Staff member to contact me, about weather for the upcoming weekend event? I may have to cancel on this registration...
Apologies for opening the discussion up here, but am very anxious about driving 10 hours, each direction, with a forecast of 50 and 60 % thunderstorms, for the two days which I am registered for, and we're less than a week out.
    Thank you, Greg

Unless you're Jason DiSalvo, and rip off a 1:28.6 (from a stand still).

I have seen it at 90% Chance of thunderstorms at Barber only to have a whole dry afternoon... Not to mention Barber is a good track in the rain... Don't let the forecasts fool you...

Looking forward to Monday. According to accuweather, the least chances for r***.
I hope that actually works out this time.

I honestly don't think there is a rain policy. We ride.

...you may ride sir, but I am not driving 800+ miles to piddle around in rain (or get only a half-day of riding in), nor drive all day Saturday through thunderstorms to get there, having my bike and gear getting soaked all the way there (I don't have a screwed on seat, I just have the stick-on pad, which is not meant to be sitting in water for hours of rain/wind), on just an open utility trailer.

Sure hope y'all have a great weekend, stay safe and healthy.

As is your choice. STT is in the same boat you are when it comes to rain; they pay for the track rain or shine. I've sat under a popup all day watching it rain before - it is what it is.

Absolutely perfect weather and weekend. Got wet about 445 Saturday which was the last novice session and Sunday was perfect also. If you didn't make it, you missed out. It was excellent.

Amazing how a weather forecast could be so wrong...
