First and hopefully last high-side ever. Charlotte's web exit. Not sure what I did wrong (maybe tightening my line instead of heading to the edge?). Really never expected this from my SV650 in the dry.

Wanted to share as well as say sorry for contributing to the messiness that day and thank you to STT staff and riding family for taking care of things while I was transported. No permanent damage to me but I'll certainly be implementing additional safeguards/contingency plans moving forward.

Hard to do on an SV for sure. Didn't see anything on the track. Tires?

Well, the tires are just Pilot Power 3's but they've previously provided decent feedback. They're about down to the wear bars, but since you brought it up I just realized I put them on around when I got the bike 2 years ago...possible they should be replaced merely due to age? They lasted so long because I use the SV650 as a backup or when I'm tired. They weren't cold, this was the 4th or 5th lap of the session. From what I remember the PSI was as expected whenever I checked.

Welcome to the Fraternity of the Turn 5 Highside. :D Did it a number of years ago there on my 600. I wasn't as lucky, fractured radius. :(

Winner winner chicken dinner. In 2010 I bought a 07 GSXR 1K, with less than 1000 miles. The BT015's still had the nubs on them. I had a brand new set of Q2's in the back of my pickup, with the intent to change them at noon...well, going into Charlotte's web (about 10 feet from where yours lost it) they decided they didn't like it one bit, and I lowsided my brand new (to me) spotless gixxer. Lesson learned? Tires are just like gas, oil, and brake discs - EXPENDABLE ITEMS. And they are a hell of a lot cheaper than hard parts/gear or doctor's bills....7 years later I can still mark the spot which is why I suck going thru that turn...

Any Street tire on any street bike powering out of 5 is a recipe for disaster IMO.... Cold, Hot, Warmers, Not, Wet, Dry it doesn't matter....

Thanks for the feedback guys. Will be switching to slicks and warmers if I keep the SV, (as opposed to getting something with traction control).
