I recently purchased said bike. it starts and runs just fine only thing bothering me is the Cluster will not Display mileage MPH or Tachometer readout. even thought the cluster upon key on lights all up and the needle does a full sweep. The rest of the display works such as showing coolant temp and which mode the bike is in. gear display shows the right gears when i shift. just those 3 items wont work. ive checked for corrosion and broken pins or loose connections all the connections are tight and clean. Not sure where to go from here. I live in Indy it would be great if someone was close and could lend a cluster or ECU just to rule those two items out.
IMO fine, the speedo is a distraction. I rarely ever even check it, ride as fast as you can. The numbers are irrelevant. Time around the track ultimately is what's important. If you insist then start with another cluster.
I rarely look at mine during track days, also. I had a low speed crash and everyone(non rider) was asking how fast was I going? I replied No Clue
