How cold do we still run the track days?
    Anything above freezing?
Just wondering while it's 15 degrees outside & pondering this spring's schedule.

I did Team Chicago at Grattan last year in April and it was around 30 degrees. It even snowed for a bit. But it was still a good day. Was almost 40 in the afternoon. :)

As much as I LOVE track riding. I personally won't ride in the cold (<60 for me). Rain, I don't mind too much but cold just won't do. Tires, track temp, my body temp just aren't up to it :)

I've ridden in the snow flurries, flash floods, ridiculous heat, hail, wind. It's really up to the event director. They make decisions on site based on the conditions and the safety concerns. Cold is not likely a safety concern. I've seen a few track days over the years get cancelled a day or two before the event because of snow on the ground.

I have also crashed in the paddock when it was cold out so I try to avoid the track if it is below 50*

We've been spoiled the last couple of April Grattan days. I hope the trend continues!

I don't mind the cold weather when doing other sports like snow boarding, skiing etc.. Love the snow! Now that I'm in GA it's chilly but no snow :(

I can remember sitting under our trailer awning at Barber about 4 or 5 years ago, and trying to get cooled off after one of our afternoon sessions. The thermometer/clock handing on the side of our trailer (in the shade) was registering 109 degrees. As odd as it may sound, I can deal with that better than I can with the cold temps on the track. Of course, neither extremes are fun/good/enjoyable, but I do the heat better than I do the cold.

You guys should have been at Road Atlanta in August 5 Years ago..... 118 in the shade if I remember correct.... And I was on Tire Duty... The 20 Min drive home for me Sunday was the longest drive home for any track I have been too in my life....I know Big Steve from Canada was there...He can vouch... Heat Exhaustion Central... White spots and all...

LOLOL Understatement of the year right there. I remember a Road America event where I think you were the only one out riding in a downright blizzard. I was just sitting on the pit wall watching you go by lap after lap after lap saying to myself, that boy just ain't right.
