I like riding when it's wet, but cold is just icky. That's one reason I'm a little scared to start putting warmers on...I'm afraid I'll get spoiled and forget what cold tires are like.
And if it's 45 degrees. Please don't bring out the tire warmers. Run a street compound instead. High end tires, tire warmers and VERY cold days are a recipe for a crash.
LOL I remember telling myself it was time to come in when the brake marker I was using, was a pile of wet clumped together leaves at the top of the hill entering turn 5. I said to myself "Self, this probably isn't the smartest thing. Since NO ONE else is on track, you might take a hint." I couldn't see because the visor was so fogged up. So when I felt the thud of the leaf pile, I flipped my visor up to see where to turn in. Since the speed was bleeding off and it would stay up. Then it would stay up till I left the bend and the wind would close it again. Rinse and repeat.
