    BARBER:

Gates open approx 5:30-6:00pm Friday night and stay open til 10:00pm, if you make it in by 10:00pm you can then come 24/7, if you don't make it by 10:00pm gates re-open Sat at 7:00am-4:00pm. Barber is in the Central Time Zone.

There is now NO gate fee for Sportbike Track Time events at Barber

We ride R*** or shine, please come prepared for Southern rain showers.

You must walk to the Porsche building and get your wristband before you can get into the paddock. If you need camping or electric, you can pay for that when you get your wristband.

If you arrive early please park where the gate guard directs you to park in the museum parking lot, or lot G (we use the museum parking lot until it fills up and then lot G). If you are there early, DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT approach the Porsche/registration building until directed to do so by the guard or track management.

No drinking of beer or alcohol allowed in parking areas and no changing bike oil in parking areas.

Please note that Sportbike Track Time is the ONLY organization that Barber allows to "stage" in the museum parking lot... we want to keep it that way!

No glass bottles are allowed in the Barber paddock - bring plastic cups!

Camping is available and you pay the track for that.

Electric is available in the lower pits against the fence and in the upper pits in both sides and you have to pay the track for that.

PLEASE: use common sense for selecting your pit space. If you did not pay for power, please do not pit in front of a power pole. Please do not pit lengthwise, taking up multiple power spots, even if you did pay for power. If your rig is such that you do need to pit lengthwise, please do so in a corner of the paddock that does NOT take up multiple power spots. Note that the first tier around the tech area and in front of the building is reserved space - if you pit there without permission you will be asked to move.

Sportbike Tire Service will be there with their usual awesome prices on Michelin Tires.

Tire service will be open Friday night 7:00pm-9:00pm to help you out. Then 7am to 3pm Saturday. We can now remove and replace your wheels for you if you do not want to get greasy.

Marietta Motorsports will be there for all suspension and tech needs.

Sign-up opens 7am and closes at 10:30am for the day. Please be on time.

Tech opens 7am and closes 10:30am each day.

Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle.

    - helmet mounted Gopros are not allowed at all on track

    - in our novice group, Gopros are not allowed on track in the morning sessions - in the afternoon sessions they are fine as long as the above rules are followed.

Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am BOTH days, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am.

Sorry to say, pets are NOT allowed at Barber.

Showers are available on the second and third levels.

Race gas and street gas is available on second level, credit cards only.

Please keep your area clean and do not leave any race gas cans or tires when you leave.

We must be out of the paddock by 7:00pm Saturday night.

Any questions, please post up here.

    TALLY:

Gates will open approx 5:00pm CST time Saturday evening. Gates close at 10:00pm Saturday night and re-open at 7:00am. You must be in the track by 10:00pm or you don't get in til the morning. Tally is in the CENTRAL time zone.

There is a $5.00 gate fee for all persons 16 or older at this track.
    BRING SOME CASH WITH YOU.

Sportbike Tire Service will be there with their usual great prices on tires!

Marietta Motorsports will be there for suspension and parts needs.

Sign-up opens 7am, closes for the day at 10:30am

    Tech 7:00am-5pm

Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle.

    - helmet mounted Gopros are not allowed at all on track

    - in our novice group, Gopros are not allowed on track in the morning sessions - in the afternoon sessions they are fine as long as the above rules are followed.

Mandatory rider's meeting at 8:20am both days - you must be there or you will not ride. Tech and registration are closed during the rider's meeting.

Unfortunately there will be no lunch concession - you'll need to bring your own.

Camping is free, some electric is available, you pay the track for that.

Pets are allowed, must be on a leash at ALL times. Please "clean up" after your pets.

    Showers are in the silo.

No fuel is available at the track.

Small Jiffy Mart right by the track, many motels in Oxford/Anniston, about 15 minutes away.

As always we ride "rain or shine" - come prepared.

Any questions, please post up here.

    See you there!!!

Update: there will not be a food concession available at Tally - plan accordingly.

At Barber, can we set up our pit on Friday night without paying for camping if we are not staying at the track?

Yes. Setting up your pit on Friday night is safe, secure, and allows you not to rush on Saturday morning.

Same question, but for Talladega GP? Is it secure to set up tonight and stay off site for the night?

Had a blast at Barber Saturday

Big thanks to Garrett (hope I got that right) for helping me pick up my pace. Now that I'm comfortable on the new track bike, I'll ask for more help next time out.
