    Here are some helpful track day facts for Grattan Raceway

    * Grattan Raceway is in ET (Eastern Standard Time), 1 Hour ahead of Chicago Time.

    TRACK DIRECTION SCHEDULE
    Saturday: Counter Clockwise <-
    Sunday: Counter Clockwise <-


    **Everyone must register if you are riding on the track
    ***Registration will be held inside the main white tech garage on the upper paddock
    ***Tech inspection will be held in front of the same garage on the upper paddock

    ***Tech and Registration opens at 7:30am Saturday & Sunday and closes at 8:15am for the rider's meeting, then will re-open after the rider's meeting.

    You must register first, before heading over to the tech inspection area with your bike.
    After you register, you will be handed a group sticker to place on the front of your bike. Place the sticker on the front of your bike someplace visible and secure, then head over to the tech area for inspection.

    * Gates open Friday at 6pm and closes at 11pm (local time)
    * Gates reopen Saturday at 7am and closes at 11pm, then reopen on Sunday from 7am to 6pm. (local time)
    * Unfortunately a $10/day, or $15/weekend, per person gate fee for all riders or spectators is required for this track (please bring cash with you)
    * Camping is available for the weekend
    * Direction of travel in the upper paddock is one-way, counter clockwise with anything that has a motor in it (keep right up the hill)
    * Showers are available (upper paddock)
    * Race/Pump gas is available over by the concession area, cash only.
    * Concession stand open for lunch (upper paddock)
    * Garages (upper paddock) are available with electricity for $40/day, $60 for 2 days, Call Sam @ (616) 691-7221 to reserve.
    * Pets are allowed and MUST be on a leash at all times. Please "clean up" after your pets.
    * Sportbike Tire Service (STS) will be available for Saturday and Sunday (upper paddock) **Get your Michelin tire swag on!
    * Leathers are reserved through STS. Email: sales@sportbiketireservice.com or call 888-390-4020.
    * Photograhy services details will be announced at the riders meetings

    Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am both days, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am

    On track time schedule:
    **Intermediate Group 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00
    **Advanced Group 9:20, 10:20, 11:20, 1:20, 2:20, 3:20, 4:20
    **Novice Group 9:40, 10:40, 11:40, 1:40, 2:40, 3:40, 4:40

    Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros (or similar cameras) that is mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle. It doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to be tethered and secure.

    NO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) or DRONES of any type allowed at this event.

    - helmet mounted Gopros (or similar helmet mounted cameras) are NOT ALLOWED at all on track.

    We ride R*** or shine, please come prepared for Michigan weather. :eek:

    ***Please keep your area and garages clean do not leave any race gas cans, tires or any other garbage when you leave.***

    I looked on the website and it says registration is trackside only,, I've never heard of this and how can we know how many spots are left? Just some advice would help id like to go with a first time friend tomorrow and wanted to know how to register.

    Hi Rafi, typically online registration is closed 48 hours prior to the event. I believe this because the registration staff is preparing all of the paperwork in order to be ready for the event.

    In this case, I believe I read that Novice is sold out for Saturday, but had some spots open for Sunday. I believe Int. and Adv. also had spots open for both days.

    Ok, thanks. I was wondering about that. I am really thinking about driving there early tomorrow morning and hoping theres a novice spot open. I called the office but I'm not getting an answer.
