So I ride an 04 Sportster, been on 2 wheels since 09, started on Honda's, but always cruisers, until a month ago or so, I picked up a KLR 250 dual sport, so now I'm learning dirt a bit too. Figured I'd give a quick bio of my riding history. Oh, and my first year, I took out a deer doing 65, then I think 2 years ago, I only had my front brake and bumped into a car coming to a stop, but barely bumped her, I didn't even go down or anything, then that December it was 53 degrees, and slightly wet, and my sexy looking tall skinny front wheel I hated when I bought the bike locked up, like I thought it would someday, which is why I hated it.
Anyways, I'm looking into some training... I'm also replacing the front end of my bike, and the rear wheel, and widening the rear a little, and changing the rear shocks, then throwing a 1250 kit on it, and turning it into more of a street fighter. Then probably paint it a nice black cherry pearl.
But back to the training. I posted something on Facebook, and somebody said that if I've never been to a track day, you had 2 free spots at each event for a newcomer, and I could find how much it costs normally here. Going to start searching for that, though any info would be much appreciated, but I figured I'd introduce myself while throwing it out there.

Hello and welcome. IMO you ride but don't have a clue.
I didn't, rode for over 30 years. Today I would say I had 1 year experience 30 times.
Get the gear, for novice it's pretty easy, I now use my 2 piece for street riding.
Average track day is around $180.

You will learn a lot and have more fun than you ever thought possible.
Some really great people here, everyone just want's to help others learn and have fun.
