My Quick shifter started acting up. Power Commander I tested it, and it shows an open. The load it takes to cause a short seems high. Question is, how much force does it take. On my lift the up shifts work fine. Under load not as easy as it once was.. Suggestions.
I bought a Gixxer 600 from a guy on here back in October that was having issues with the Dynojet quickshifter at high RPMs(when the top injectors open),and it would stop working, but shifted below 10K fine. When I took the bike in to have it Dyno tuned the expansion module was faulty.I ended up taking out the Dynojet QS ,sold the quickshifter online, and installed a Annitori QS Pro,I was going to install one anyway,so with the sale of the other QS I paid actually 100.00 for the Annitori.I have used them for over 3 years, rather run them off the coils instead, and plug and play with no piggybacking.
I have a PC5.What bike do you have?If you have one with 4 injectors, then you don't need an expansion module.
Check into an Annitori as you can change it from a up to a downshift, with a Dynojet you have to replace the quickshifter.Annitori is bluetooth conpatable, great customer service, contact my friend Paul there. They go for around 300.00
if it worked before, and stopped, put some penetrant, or lube (wd40) on the switch side of the sensor. some times over the course of a long storage, the switches can get gummed up with track debris, and need a little tlc. I have saw that fix several quickshifter issues. good luck, Ski
