really appreciate it bud, sadly it isn't about getting there or the drive... its the time i'd have to take off to get there and back... i'd need a Friday and a Monday off... and sadly that doesn't happen like ever haha
I understand.. One advantage of getting 200 hours off a year. BTW,, Barber was FANTASTIC.. Want to go back, SOON.
lucky enough I get all weekends off.. except in case of emergencies... (why I missed grattan last weekend grr) but being a manager means sorry about your lucky on weekdays haha
Concession stand is open during lunch. I'm bringing my grill and some brats most likely. Stop by and say hi. White van with vesrah decals.
Will do,, just ordered some parts for my small grill.. Would say you bring the brat's I'll bring the beer.. But since we are riding after lunch. Never mind. LOL.. I'll get some chips and such.. Is it a blue moon for June. The wife is coming along. You will recognize me easily, I most likely will be the tallest, oldest bald guy there.
It can be raining on one side of that track and clear sky on the other... Don't let the weather mess your day up... Unless there are Tornado's in Plymouth like last year....
I was there last year and remember it well! I will be there on the 5th,stop by and say hi,number 511 08 Gixxer 600,usually park along the front straight.
YESTERDAY there were saying a 50% chance of rain during the day today. I just about didn't take off work for Carb day.. This AM said by 6pm the heavens would open. It's 9 pm and we just got our first drops, then the heavens did open. LOL So IMO they have no freaking idea. A week before Barber they said 80% chance for Saturday. By Thursday said rain Friday, ending late Friday night then a DRY weekend. I was rained out 2 sessions. I'll be there, if it rains. So be it. I wish I could be wrong 1/10 as much as weather lairs are and keep my job.
I'll be there with Sam and a few other guys. I plan to ride I on Monday and A on Tuesday. I've never rode road A, any tips? Tricks? Things to know or watch out for? I miss riding the bike, home purchase last year stopped my riding mid-season. Here's the bike all cleaned up and ready to go! http://s354.photobucket.com/user/josh7owens/media/06B5B59D-15E8-4374-95EF-C16477AD4660_zpsjg7alpaw.jpg.html][/URL]
Well I just found out about this Monday but I will not be missing it. Just got back on a bike (07 Fz1) after a few years of watching others drive by while I was stuck to 4 wheels. Ive been told these are an immense amount of fun, this will be the first time ever for me so I hope all goes well and I have everything I need. Which I'll add I don't really know what to bring haha other then the obvious bike and gear.
Bike, gear, water, fuel are the basics. It's helpful to have some other things like basic tools but what you'll find out is everyone is very friendly and willing to help if you don't have something you need. There's a very thorough checklist on here somewhere with all kinds of stuff people bring. The first time can be less intimidating if you know someone so stop by and say hi. I'll be there both days - black r6 with red wheels and white van with Vesrah decals. Two friends who will be pitted next to me are riding in novice as well.
Some ideas of what people bring: http://www.sttforum.com/index.php?threads/new-to-track-days-items-needed.18576/#post-172338
Thanks guys. So on safety wire i got the drain plug done. But for my filter can i just use tge header runner. I really dont see a better spot to do it on.
Not sure what a TGE is.. I've have a large worm hose clamp on my filter. That is safety wired to the engine
Haha sorry about the fat fingers. I used a K&N Filter that has the drilled hole in it already. I guess I'll look again for a spot on the engine but with the exhaust header I could always put a hose clamp around it and use that.
