My wife Peggy is selling her track bike. It is a 2004 Honda CBR600RR track bike purchased by us in February, 2009. The bike was purchased as a Bill of Sale only. The seller provided us with paperwork that showed that it came from Progressive Insurance Co. and was bought by them as "non-repairable". He purchased it from them, and we purchased it from him......sounds confusing, but the bike was legally purchased and it's all good. Everything is straight and Peggy has been riding it on the track from 2009 until this present season, with no issues. Now, some info about the bike. 2004 CBR600RR with 9816 miles on it. Here is a list of equipment.... * CRG Red Shorty levers * Scott Steering Damper * Track Body work painted by a fiberglass repair shop locally * Ohlins Rear shock.....46 series, not the TTX * Ohlins internals in the front forks * Vortex Rear Sets.......Standard shift pattern, but can be reversed for G.P. shift * Moriwaki Stainless Slip on Exhaust * Power Commander III USB * Power Cup Evo tires with several days left on them * Tie Down brackets on the rear (rear passenger pegs removed and tie downs located there) * Engine Ice coolant * Safety Wiring done on Rear Axle nut, Oil Filler, Oil Drain, Oil Filter * OES brand frame sliders There is some very slight damage to the bodywork, from a low side side at Barber. The frame sliders were replaced, but there is minor scraping on the bodywork......nothing that would affect the performance/riding of the bike. The oil that has been used in the bike, since we've owned it is the Mobil 1 15W-50 and Honda brand oil filters. This is listed as a Ladies Bike because the suspension has been setup for a 120 lb. rider. Of course, if need be, the purchaser could have the shock spring and the front fork springs swapped out for the proper weight for someone that is heavier and needs stiffer suspension Now, for the funny part of the ad......"Bike was ridden by a little old lady, and only on weekends". This is true! Asking price is $3500 and the bike is located in the Knoxville, TN area. I will post some additional pics later on this weekend. You can contact me via PM on the forum, or text me at....865- three zero four-0254
OHHHHH Vern you are very brave for calling Peggy " A little old lady"...... Good luck with the sale and someone is going to get a very well maintained bike!! If I was home Madi would be getting it!!
Thanks Andreas! Well, the short answer is no. The long answer is ..........she is retiring from track riding, but will keep her street bike.
I think she plans on working in other capacities.......registration, incident investigator, etc. She really enjoys being at the track and hanging out/visiting with all of our extended track family.
Bump to the Top...Any lady riders out there looking for a well set up bike? Hey guys, how about a track bike for your wife.........or girlfriend, if you are single!
It will definitely be a change for me too, not seeing on the track. I'm just thankful that she really enjoys going to the track and hanging out....I'm a lucky guy for sure.
Price reduced to $2900.....it would be a great bike for the track for a lady rider, or a guy if he wanted to re-spring the shock and forks.
