I signed up for Jennings in December, and I'm running a full M4 for my '08 GSXR750. It doesn't have a dB killer in the pipe, so I'm trying to get an idea if anyone has ran a similar set-up at Jennings. I believe that they have sound restriction. All of the tracks that I have ran here in the north (BHF, Road America, Grattan, and Autobahn) haven't had any restrictions, so I haven't had any challenges.

I just don't want to drive down there and get flagged for noise.

They strictly enforce the db level at JenningsGp. If you can't get it silenced, you will not be allowed to ride it.

My 05 750 has a full TiForce exhaust and the packing is mostly burned through, I think. No problems.

While I'm sure some legitimate setups have noise issues, I think that rule is more for the bikes with one of those obnoxiously loud straight pipe extensions.

    Stuff like this:

My R6 has a full Arrow system without the DB killer and I was fine earlier this year in March. You should be OK.

Uh oh, I'm glad I read this thread since I was going to head down to FL for the December event.

Looks like the limit is 104 db on the straight? Time to do some testing with db killers...

Sounds like a great idea, but I guess I would need to know the requirements. Meaning is that 104dB at the exhaust tip? At 50ft? At 100ft?

Does that make sense? A pipe that is 104dB at the exhaust tip is not as loud as 104dB at 100 yards.

You are correct. Last December I didn't see anyone removed from the track for sound. There were some really loud race bikes there and nothing was said. That could change this year for sure.

They stand right next to the Start/Finish line with a meter, black flag if you are over the limit. People use steel wool, clamps with metal, etc. to cut the sound.

Several told me, they just take it easy at the Start, Finish line. So you won't be getting first place

Maybe just take your hand off the throttle and flip em off!
