Good point about not being able to see the right hander as you come up the hill toward the straight.
That tree is a good reference point for the blind right hander
2 very different tracks, both Acc & grattan are fun as hell (anyone who says acc is boring isn't going fast enough )
Grattan as you've read is blind, 8 out of 10 corners are blind, some memory & guts will be needed for turn in etc. places i would watch in the early part of the day are the first right hander after the hump, coming out of the bowl & turn 3. If i remember reading correctly the first weekend is CCW, am i wrong there?
I haven't done it CCW and not sure I want to. LOL
It took 12 days before somebody finally decided to defend ACC. I rest my case...
Trust me you want to!
Would you (or do you) drive to a different track that was the same distance away as Grattan?
CCW is that different track; all the blind corners you can now see threw them.
You'll be surprised what you can learn about a track by riding it in the other direction.
There were a number of regulars who felt the same as you, but now they like CCW more than the regular way.
Just my .02, Grattan is fun in either direction! I think it flows better CCW but you have to be aware that there's not much runoff at the bus stop.
and turn 1
I think I'm just a chicken for when the hump becomes the jump.
