Got to spend some quality time with good friends, family with great weather this weekend and Monday at Talladega to celebrate my 50th.... Holy Run on sentence Batman...Here are some neat PG13 shots from my GoPro.. I still think that thing takes some great pics.. Thanks everyone for being there... It means a whole bunch!!
Happy birthday Marc, glad to hear it was great for you! Can't really go wrong celebrating at the track with this group. :thumbup
Welcome to the AARP club Marc, lol! Glad you had a great time and sorry I missed out on it. I'm not going to make any southern trips until fall so I'll get together for a drink with you then. Happy Birthday Brother!
Happy Birthday Marc! 50 man you're getting old! But then again so am I (in 2 weeks). See ya at the track sometime soon. Steve
Young-un... Had a GREAT TIME, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INVITE AND HOSPITALITY!! Couldn't have asked for a better day. P.S. A Huggge thanks to Sam Fugate who took the extra time to take me and Todd Waldrup out and show us the correct line. I cut my time down 2 seconds (considering it's my virgin weekend, a 1:07 - for me not bad). What we did: Sam rode 3 laps correct line and we came in. Then I rode 3 laps with Sam following (riding the correct line) so Todd could see what I was doing vs. what I SHOULD be doing; pitted and talked. Then Todd rode 3 laps same thing then pitted/talked. That way we didn't get tired, and we had a chance to review every 3 laps. It helped my find a bunch of reference points and his preferred line.
Wish I could have made it all the way through the weekend and not exited early . Glad you had a great weekend!!!!
Hey Keith.....just so you know, Peggy turned a 1:07 at Tally a few years back. Trevor even made an announcement in the morning meeting about it........so you've still got some work to do! (Actually, she ran off track coming through the bowl, went across the grass, and came back on track around T4.....totally missing T3. She came in and told me to check her lap timer. I was like..WTF!
Humm...skipping corners by cutting across...Hadn't thought of that! Although, it DOES remind me of murder carts....
And the really funny part was that Mike Lindsay and Charlie West had passed her on the short straight coming into T2, then all of a sudden they find her in front of them again going down the straight and into the farmhouse turn. They were like....WTF, we already passed her....how did she get in front of us again!
LOL! I have also done this, at Bill's 50th party a few years ago, LOL! Happy Birthday Marc! Wish I could have made it, sounds like such a great time!
