Looks good. How much money would you say you have in it? I'm tempted to make my RR a complete track bike.

I mean everything. I would assume that there's more done than just new plastics. I saw plastics on ebay, don't know how trustworthy, for 600. Paint I can get for free, but I would think that there are a few other things that I may not think of. I'd like to upgrade the suspension all around but I'm just not sure if it's worth dropping thousands of dollars into one thing when I may or may not race. I'd like to get into WERA sometime in the future, my dad did so why not.

They'd also have to open up the Memphis motorsports park track and renew it before I really contemplated it.

Got the bikes in the trailer last night and tie up some loose ends tonight. For the barber veterans is there any advice about pitting, etc? Seen some videos where it looks like everyone backed into spots which makes sense if you need to use your vehicle. I'm coming with 4 so I'm assuming truck/trailer in one spot and ez-ups and motorcycles in adjacent spot. Thanks. Looking forward to some good times.

Plastics are Armor Bodies, and have been crashed once at high speed. They are trust worthy. As far as the bike and how much money I have in it I could not begin to know

I was able to break even when I converted my 600RR to track form, sold all the street stuff (bodywork, lights, bars) and used that money to buy Armour Bodies and Rearsets and clip-ons. If you plan on selling it though, it's usually easier to sell a street bike than a track bike, so you might want to hang onto that stuff.

The only other upgrades I did was steel braided lines and a Brembo MC. I've been riding it with stock suspension for 3 or so seasons and found that I like a 190 on the rear best to give a little extra ride height. If I had continued racing with it, next step would have been suspension. If you don't know anything about the dark arts of suspension tuning, and there's a suspension guy at any trackday you go to, have them do a basic set up on the bike, so you can at least get the stock stuff working for you the best it can.

If on the fence Share the wall with others please.... Only use the wall for EZ Ups and bikes... Park trailers and trucks in front of them...:thumb:

It helps too if you leave some space between the EZ Up/bikes and your trailer, so that riders can squeeze by if need be. Sometimes we get blocked in and need to squeeze around other pits to get out. Some race/track bikes don't have the turning radius of a street bike, so it makes it hard if you have to move forward and back to make a turn and get around something. I've been at track days where you can stand on one end of the fence and there's a "lane" all the way down to the other end.

Thanks for the input. I was looking at some satellite of the park. Is the "fence/wall" you're speaking of along the front straight west of the main building? We'll probably be there as the gates open Friday and I'll ask some questions if need be to people who look like they know what there doing:). Thanks again.

Vending at the track is not common, HOWEVER, if you want to make a purchase and we have it in stock I might be able to bring it down for you. I will be in the office until 4pm tomorrow and then will be on my way...

Email me at Aubrey@sportbiketrackgear.com if you are interested.
