I spoke to Brian Van for a while today and while we were on the phone, I mentioned your post. He said the reason he/they don't vend at the track is to protect the customer. When he signs up for track days, he is like us in the sense that there are tons of things that could prevent him from actually making it there. Van's first priority is the business and like us, he has family. He said he would hate for somebody to count on him showing up with their suit/helmet/boots/gloves/etc and then for some reason he can't make it and that person is out of luck and can't ride.
Packed and ready to go  Got the rain tires mounted on the OEM rims so I can play in the rain.
I know......that is why im bringing the rain tires. It never rains when i bring them. BTW - don't forget my U4.
Yep going to get your VP Tomorrow at Lunch... As you can see I am no where near ready I do have a garage full to load but will have ALL Friday AM to do it after I pick up Eds Rig... Hopefully I will have time to mount the freshly painted bodywork in the parking lot at George's house.. Hey how do you like your Berseg Stand? I almost bought one this year..
I understand completely about the vending situation. Its all good now since I was able to purchase the back protector from my local shop. It's a win win because I needed a back protector and they need the business. The shops around here have had a hard time with the economy and all. I'm still going to get the suit but I will wait a couple weeks now. Thanks for the help/info everyone! See y'all Saturday and Sunday.
grub yes, but you'd be better, imo, bringing your own food. they sell burgers, dogs, chik sandwiches, etc. to me, it's very heavy food.
Thanks  Must be nice to live down there. I have to get most of my packing done ahead of time because of the drive. I will pack a few things Friday morning, but i will pretty much be ready to go tomorrow afternoon. As far as the stand, for getting the bike off the ground quickly and easily for warmers or tire changes, it is great. For working on the bike, not so much. The lifting frame of the stand is in the way of the front sprocket. I also can't get the lower off with the bike on that stand, there isnt enough room. So it isnt a complete replacement for the Pit Bulls...that is why i bring them also. It might be different for other bikes, because the mounting points vary. But it isnt good for working on the 675's. But for just getting the bike up and down for warmers and tire changes, it is awesome. It is also good because it completely unloads the suspension so you can remove the forks or shock or whatever you need to do. Knowing what i know now, I wouldnt have bought it because it doesnt completely eliminate the need for the other stands. I still have to bring them everywhere.
+1 I usually don't eat a real meal all weekend. I might eat something "heavy" at supper Saturday night, but for the most part I just snack all weekend.
Jesse.....you got some serious "getting it together" time in your near future. Good luck with that.........I would be panic stricken if mine looked like that two days before an event....but then again, I'm not that mechanically inclined when it comes to working on bikes!
